A crowd of sick men lay by a pool in Jerusalem. Jesus walked past all of them to one man who had been lying there thirty-eight years and had no one to help him. He gave no strategy. He gave a command, and the man stood up.

A man walked for the first time in thirty-eight years, and the religious leaders saw only a mat carried on the Sabbath. Jesus answered that His Father is working and so is He. They understood exactly what He meant, and they wanted Him dead for it.
